The Beginning

I've had this particular series in mind since I started this blog but there were several blockers. I'll spare you the particulars but recent events got me off my butt.

I did this scrapbook as a History project sometime in my high school tenure, 1966-1970. This was a VERY interesting time in the history of the US. See if you can note any corollaries to our present time.

I'm leaving the Grading Note in as a not so humble brag. This was a lot of work before there digital cameras, scanners and computers. My calligraphy wasn't great but it was carefully done, an inspiration from my grandpa, Herb Nelson, who's art you'll be seeing much more of here.

Going forward, this series will be weekly, mostly, and display pictures and film from a library go 55,000 plus images, both still and moving, I've collected from my family. Some of the stills are well over a hundred years old and the film goes back nearly as far!
